EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION – HURRICANE – DANGEROUS SITUATION

Update 10/7/2016 

Campus: FCC – Boynton Beach, West Palm Beach, Margate, Lauderdale Lakes, Pembroke Pines, Hialeah, Miami, Kendall, Orlando, Jacksonville and Tampa

  1. Campus update for Saturday Cosmetology classes:
    All schools (with the exception of Jacksonville) will have Cosmetology classes tomorrow Saturday (10/8).
    Jacksonville will not have Cosmetology classes tomorrow Saturday (10/8).
     
  2. Campus update for Monday classes:
    All schools (with the exception of Jacksonville) will have classes as normal on Monday (10/10).
    Jacksonville, as of this notification, is planning to have classes as normal on Monday (10/10) however, if conditions are still unsafe or if the campus is not able to operate because of damage, flooding or does not have power, the campus will not have classes. Please contact the campus for updated information.

 

Update 10/6/2016

Campus: FCC – Tampa
Tonight’s scheduled graduation WILL still be taking place. We look forward to seeing you there!

Hurricane Matthew is approaching the Tampa, Florida area.

For Friday 10/7/16, Hillsborough County announced that schools in the county will be closed for the day, therefore the FCC Tampa campus will also be closed for Friday. Do not come to the school for classes. 

Note: The planned graduation will still be held Friday evening, however the school will be monitoring the weather conditions very closely.

The Emergency action that the students and campus staff should take is as follows:

Stay at home and do not travel to the campus or anywhere unless conditions are safe.

This dangerous situation continues to exist and poses a threat to the students and campus staff.  Please heed the information contained in this notification. The campus personnel will provide updated information as appropriate.

Campus: FCC – Boynton Beach, West Palm Beach, Margate, Lauderdale Lakes, Pembroke Pines, Hialeah, Miami, Kendall, Orlando and Jacksonville

This is a notification that an Emergency or Dangerous situation will occur on or near the campus. A description is as follows:

A hurricane is approaching the South Florida area and the FCC campuses noted above will be closed all day Thursday (10/6) and Friday (10/7).

There will be evening classes tonight, Wednesday (10/5). 

The Emergency action that the students and campus staff should take is as follows:

Stay at home Thursday and Friday and do not travel to the campus unless conditions are safe.

This dangerous situation continues to exist and poses a threat to the students and campus staff.  Please heed the information contained in this notification. The campus personnel will provide updated information as appropriate.
